Since 1968, Beachwood Golf Club has offered players of all skill levels some of the most challenging – and fun – golfing in North Myrtle Beach. The beautifully designed 18-hole championship course, the inspired plan of renowned architect Gene Hamm, is unchanged entering its 43rd year in operation. No houses, no condos. Just 180 tractable acres of sparkling lakes, towering Carolina pines and brilliant floral displays, including azaleas and crepe myrtles.
Beachwood has earned its reputation as one of the Myrtle Beach golf scene’s most playable and friendly layouts.
The Gene Hamm design features some of the area’s widest fairways, inviting players to swing away with the driver without the fear of a losing a ball in pine forest or water. The fairways are tree-lined, but players almost always have a recovery shot that provides a chance of reaching the green.
